My First Kiss Went A Little Like This...

I should probably introduce myself first. My name is Morty. I am currently attending District High. We recently started this exchange program with the other schools around. They sent some wizards in to try to show that we aren’t that bad anymore. It was really nice. These wizards all had charms that protected them from our natural “depressing” aura we carry.

        I was in my 4th period. It was math. I always just end up doing my homework while the teacher is teaching the lesson. I don’t really need a whole lesson to teach me how to do one type of question. Anyway... so one of the new wizards named Tiff just joined my class about a week ago. She sat about three rows away from me. I didn’t think much of her at the time. After this class is lunch. The best period of the day. Today is Tater Tot Tuesday (my favorite day of the week). So the bell rang and we left and headed towards the cafeteria. She ended up bumping into me and we just started small talk. Nothing important. Until she asked if was was free tonight. Me being a nervous dementor, I shyly said yes. Man... I just wanted some tater tots.

        So later that night we met to hangout, we were going to go see the new Avengers movie that came out recently. I love these movies. It was a great distraction that I was watching a movie with a girl. She was always looking at me but never spoke to me. After having lunch with her and talking to her all day, it was pretty clear to me that she is pretty cool and open minded. I could see me actually being a friend of hers which is pretty cool because the wizards all seem to keep us at a distance. Which is understandable, I guess (we aren’t that bad).

        So as the movie went on I could tell she was getting a little restless. She kept bumping into me and such. The whole situation was weird. She ended up nudging me and saying my name. Once i turned to her she leaned in and gave me a kiss. Then all of the sudden her eyes went wide. I had no idea what had happened. It kinda felt like her life got sucked out of her. I was so confused. She was pretty much unresponsive. I freaked out and did the most rational thing I could. I ran home and left her there.

When I got home I told my parents. They were formerly under the Dark Lord. So they’re a little bit more “aggressive” dementors. We still have a few in this District. They burst into tears of joy. That I took my first soul. Hoping to find some answers I just got more confused.

Side note: Come to find out Tiff was just trying to see if she figured out a charm that protected from the dementor’s kiss. It didn’t work. I feel really bad but she kinda lied about what was going on.
